WESLEY H. GARRETT. This worthy and prominent gentleman whose sterling character
and many attractive personal qualities, give him an exceptional standing in the community,
resides upon section 9, Whitley Township. His honored father, William Garrett, was born in
Montgomery County, Ky., about the year 1798, and is the son of James Garrett who was probably
born in Virginia, and was proud to claim his ancestry from the rugged lands of the Highlands
and bagpipes. James Garrett died in Montgomery Country Ky., having lived to the remarkable age
of one hundred years and six months.
