WESTON

The earliest person we can identify at present was Miron (or Myron) H. Weston, middle name presumably Henry, who was born in 1845. He married Harriet R. McLain in Moultrie, Illinois, on January 2, 1862. Harriet is said to be from Missouri, but this is not known for certain. Myron enlisted in the Union Army in Chicago (Company C, 126th Illinois) on October 19, 1864. As far as we know, this couple had four children: the mysterious red-haired twin girls (mysterious only because we can’t trace them) who married and moved away, married names unknown to us; and two sons: George Grant Weston, born ca. 1863 and William Myron Weston (spelling of middle name not certain), date of birth unknown. The original Myron H. Weston died in 1876 at age 31, so perhaps his widow remarried and there are relatives out there we do not know yet. Any help on this family greatly appreciated.
